How to Free Your Body From Pain – Part I (The Beliefs)

How to Free Your Body From Pain – Part I (The Beliefs)

Do you often feel stuck? Like many people, you may be bogged down with fatigue, chronic body pain or illness. So much focus and money goes into feeling better that, at the end of the day, there is no energy to actually move forward on to your big dreams. Have you ever wondered why you seem to be stuck in this pattern? Not only is there a reason, but there is also a way to break free.

An Illness is a Messenger

In order to break the chain of pain, you must be willing to look behind the physical symptoms and look at the root cause. What if a deeper core belief system is generating your health challenges? In order for the body pain or illness to be cured, you must focus on changing this belief system rather than alleviating the physical symptoms alone.

An illness is an indicator that your life force is suppressed; it is a symptom of an energy block. Autoimmune disorders (inflammation), digestive issues and even cancer, are all symptoms of your life force being turned inward against you. A state of war is created within; great heat, fire, inflammation and pain is the result.

Express Your Pinned Up Feelings

Oftentimes, you may not know how to deal with rising emotions that result from daily obstacles and stress. But you do have a choice: to either push the emotions down with your usual coping mechanism, or to actually breathe and let the emotions come up through you (letting the steam out), so you do not become sick.

Imagine your life force is a speed train which is extremely powerful. However, the train is locked up inside a cage of family trauma, shame and guilt. Every time the power train gains momentum, it inevitably rams up against a wall of limitations inside your ‘bone house.’ This frustrated energy then screams to be let out of the cage. And this happens again and again throughout your life. When you set your “power train” free and fully express yourself, your body will heal effortlessly.

The Really Good News

The physical pain is just a symptom; it does not identify or define you. In fact, you can look at these pain conditions as guide posts which show you exactly where to unlock the dormant creative life force that is required to fuel your big dreams into reality.

Are you ready to break the chain of pain and free yourself from illness?…

Avoid Toy Fatigue With Online Toy Rental

Avoid Toy Fatigue With Online Toy Rental

It seems to happen every time. During the holidays and on birthdays, parents go out to shop for toys. They bring them home, wrap them up, and give the gifts to their children. The children are excited and play with them – for a little while. Eventually, they grow weary of their toys, leading to a condition known as toy fatigue, which causes abandonment of the toys and frustration for the parents. Fortunately, there is a solution to this problem – online toy rental.

Even though they do have toys which they play with repeatedly and for years, the truth is that children can become bored with most toys very quickly. When a parent rents toys online, new toys are delivered to the door in the time increment of their choosing, be it monthly or bimonthly. This helps to save the parent’s time from not having to go shopping. It also saves them money, since they are not buying new toys every few weeks. All they have to do is send the old toys back to the company in the prepaid packaging, and soon the new toys arrive, fresh and clean for the children to excitedly play with once again – at least until the next shipment comes.

As children grow, so do their learning needs. And multiple studies have shown that children learn best by playing. By using online toy rental, parents are able to keep up with the developmental stages of their children. All they have to do is select toys to add to their wish list on the website that are age appropriate. As the child grows, it is as easy as a click of a button to change their selections to different age and developmental groups. So when parents rent toys from a website, they are ensuring that their child’s playtime is also learning time.

Another plus which comes from renting toys online is the anti-clutter factor. This occurs when toys become unloved and begin to accumulate around the home. When the toys are exchanged out every month, the toys there are played with and do not end up piled up all over the place!

So much good can happen when parents make the decision to rent toys from an internet site. Parents are no longer frustrated and broke, children are happy and learning, and homes stay clean, neat and uncluttered. And best of all, no more toy fatigue!…

The Promised Land of Weight Loss

The Promised Land of Weight Loss

However there is new type of supplement causing great excitement in the slimming circles up and down the country at the moment and it belongs to the family known as ‘fat binders’

Working to help you manage your weight loss, natural fibres extracted from Optuntia Ficus Indica Cactus (prickly pear ) work together to extract the fat from your body. Prickly pear is well known to be rich in flavonoids Studies have shown that flavonoids, found in great abundance in the prickly pear, can protect the immune system and prevent oxidative stress by acting as a fighter against free radicals. Cells and organs are protected by this antioxidant action. The composition of this supplement forms a complex of two fibres, one a non-soluble fibre, the other a soluble fibre, that enable you to experience improved well-being and long term weight loss.

The soluble fibres within these supplements are incredibly viscous. Designed to bind with bile acids, when these two complexes meet they form a very viscous solution which gradually slows down digestion within the body, whilst at the same time slows down the absorption of glucose into your blood stream. When this viscous solution reaches your stomach, your stomach finds this solution a lot harder to digest resulting in it staying in your stomach beyond the normal length an ordinary meal would stay. And the result? You feel fuller for much longer.

The non soluble fibres are supposed come into contact with dietary fats and they work by binding with them immediately to form a fluid gel. By doing this, it makes the fats complex too large to be absorbed in your body, and as a result is naturally passed out of your body. These natural fat binding properties of the supplements should enable you to manage your weight loss, whilst still allowing you to eat the foods you love (on occasion).

The makers of this supplement claim that it is 100% organic and has been subjected to extensive clinical trials. That the product is medically endorsed and binds your dietary fat intake to reduce it by 28%:

– curbs your appetite whilst lowering your food cravings

– boosts your energy levels

– improves joint mobility and flexibility

– lowers blood cholesterol

– appeases aches and pains

The resulting clinical trials have also confirmed that taking extracts of the Optuntia Ficus India Cactus (prickly pear) can greatly reduce the symptoms of excessive alcohol consumption (dry mouth, headache, sickness and fatigue). Several independent trails have confirmed that hangover sufferers who take the substance are far more likely to recover quicker than those who don’t. The best hangover cure is obviously abstinence but for those who cannot resist drinking to excess there is always the prickly pear – you may also shed a few pounds into the bargain.…

8 Conditions When Dental Implants are an Ideal Solution

Around 40 million Americans are missing all of their teeth, and a staggering 178 million have lost at least one. Tooth loss can happen for many reasons, but most often, it’s caused by tooth decay or gum disease. While dentures used to be the only option available for those with missing teeth, dental implants have quickly become the preferred treatment. Here are eight conditions where dental implants are an ideal solution:

1. Periodontitis (Gum Disease)

This is a condition in which the gums pull away from the teeth, causing pockets to form. Dentists do not fit those with periodontitis for dentures because dental implants would be the most effective option by far. This is because dental implants closely mimic natural teeth, and they’re the only dental solution that will prevent your gums from receding further.

2. Advanced Bone Loss

Over time, the bone supporting the teeth begins to shrink and disappear due to gum disease. This loss of bone makes it difficult for dentures to fit correctly and support a dental implant bridge. Dental implants in Gainesville are the best solution for restoring your smile if you’re dealing with jaw bone loss.

3. Edentulism (Complete Tooth Loss)

Dental implants are the best option available when you’re suffering from edentulism, the state of not having natural teeth. While dental bridges and partials can be used in this situation, dental implants are the most natural-looking and feeling dental solution available.

4. Root Canal Failure

If you’ve had root canal therapy, dental implants can help restore your dental health. Dental implants are the only dental solution that will not be affected by the weakened dental structure created during root canal therapy.

5. Congenital Defects

Dental implants are especially beneficial for people born missing some or all of their teeth. If you were born without some dental structure, dental implants mimic the appearance and function of natural teeth. The dental implants can also anchor dental appliances such as braces or other dental enhancements, making dental implants the solution of choice.

6. Trauma to the Mouth (Teeth Injury)

Dental implants are the dental solution of choice for dental injuries. These dental enhancements require no special care, which is beneficial after dental trauma. Dental implants are also the best solution for dental reconstruction surgery after a severe injury.

7. Excessive Wear and Tear

Dental implants can restore dental function for those who have experienced dental wear and tear. This dental restoration is often more efficient than a dental bridge because dental implants preserve a healthy dental structure, which dental bridges do not.

8. Cavities and Decay

Dental implants are the dental solution of choice in most cases of dental decay. While dental bridges or partials can be used, dental implants provide the most dental function in this situation. They are stronger than traditional dental bridges, and there is no risk of decay around dental implants because they help the dental structure remain healthy.

If you are suffering from any of the above conditions, you should consider dental implants as your solution. However, your dentist may instantly disqualify you for the process if you:

  • Smoke and chew tobacco
  • Have uncontrolled diabetes
  • Have uncontrolled hypertension
  • Take medication that can cause excessive bleeding
  • Have a history of cancer or tumor growth, especially head and neck cancers

Dental implants are an ideal dental solution for those with tooth loss. These dental enhancements will restore dental health, have a natural appearance and require no special care.…

Are High Antioxidants a Cure for Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue?

Are High Antioxidants a Cure for Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue?

I personally struggle with the effects of fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue and a host of other related issues. After a 6 month treatment of Lupron, a medication I took to treat endometriosis, my symptoms started. My symptoms over time became severe enough that they impacted my ability to work and my entire life. For that reason I have gone from doctor to doctor searching for an answer, a solution, some way to recover. Unfortunately there is no perfect pill that solves all the problems of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. There are medications that can address some of the symptoms like Cymbalta, Lyrica, Ultram & Ultracet. In talking with others and with my own experiences with these medications, the concern remains that it is just masking the symptoms and not a cure for the disease.

At this time there is not much else that can be done except to take medication to mask the symptoms and to exercise when you are able as that has shown to reduce pain levels. I never expected I would be 45 and dealing with a chronic illness. I try to keep up with research on fibromyalgia hoping that someone finds a cure. In the meantime I thought it might help to lose weight so I started taking a high antioxidant X-protein meal shake. When I started taking the shake, I noticed a slight improvement in my symptoms. Over time I am noticing more of an improvement which makes we wonder, Can high antioxidants cure fibromyalgia?

I found some interesting information suggesting just that. As documented in Rheumatol Int. 2010 Apr 8 by Iqbal R, Mughal MS, Arshad N, Arshad M. “Oxidative stress has also been implicated in the pathophysiology of FM; therefore, supplementation with antioxidants may be important in modulation of the effects of ROS in patients with FM.” Firat University Division of Rheumatology also posted in Rheumatol In 2006 May 26 “Our results indicate that patients with FM are under oxidative stress. These findings represent a rationale for further research assessing the effect of free radical scavengers or antioxidant agents like vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids on peripheral and central mechanisms in FM” Mersin University Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department also reported in Rheumatol Int. 2005 April 25th ” In conclusion, oxidant/antioxidant balances were changed in fibromyalgia. Increased free radical levels may be responsible for the development of fibromyalgia. These findings may support the hypothesis of fibromyalgia as an oxidative disorder”.

I am not a doctor, I am just a patient trying to get better. If you are like me, suffering with fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue, consider an antioxidant rich diet and see if it makes a difference for you. Since it can be difficult to consume the amount of antioxidants needed to get better, you may want to try a high antioxidant protein shake or a high antioxidant supplement such as Xocai healthy chocolate.…

Car Accidents and Their Causes

Car Accidents and Their Causes

Distracted drivers are the number one cause of automobile accidents. They account for up to fifty percent of all automobile accidents. There are many things that can distract a driver and as technology gets better, more distractions are being produced. Many people use their cell phones while driving, even to do text messaging. They labour under the idea that they are capable of multitasking when all it really takes is a split second of inattention in order to end up in an accident. Another form of distracted driver is one that has their attention drawn away by an accident that has already occurred. This is why often there will be many accidents all in one scene.

Driver fatigue is responsible for a large number of accidents. Being tired makes the driver less attentive and less aware of what is going on around the vehicle, if something does happen and the driver does see it, the fatigue will slow the reaction time, which can land the driver in an accident. The greatest risk for driver fatigue is between the hours of eleven pm and eight am when the largest majority of individuals are used to sleeping. Another danger time is between noon and two pm where many drivers become drowsy and in need of a nap. Symptoms of driver fatigue include eyelids feeling heavy, frequent yawning, the vehicle drifting about in the lane and varying speeds with no noticeable reason. A tired person can misjudge traffic situations, have loss of distance perception, see things ‘jump out’ that aren’t there, fidgeting in the seat, being irritable or even daydreaming. In extreme cases, the person can actually fall asleep at the wheel. Medications can also contribute to the feeling of fatigue as well as slow the reflexes and affect the perception.

Drunk driving is responsible for a large number of tragic accidents. Large numbers of individuals have died as a result of a drunk driver. Drunk driving is responsible for a large number of traffic deaths due largely to the fact that the driver has no idea how fast the vehicle is travelling, has trouble keeping the vehicle in one lane and when in an accident situation, doesn’t recognize it or take action. This means the drunk driver is liable to go into the accident at full speed causing severe injuries if not fatalities within the other vehicles involved. Quite often the drunk driver suffers minor injuries due to the fact that the alcohol has the body so relaxed that it doesn’t tense because of the oncoming collision.

Speeding can cause collisions for a multitude of reasons and they compound upon each other. The faster the vehicle is going, the less reaction time the driver has to avoid a collision. The faster the vehicle is going, the more likely that a collision will occur. Speed also increases the severity of the collision. The damage/speed ratio doesn’t rise equally, the speed rises at one rate and the damage severity rises at a much higher rate, for instance, a collision at sixty mph as opposed to forty mph, the higher speed collision doubles in severity.…

How To Create An Effective Event Poster For Your Non Profit Event

How To Create An Effective Event Poster For Your Non Profit Event

At The Center for Spiritual Living, Santa Rosa we have an extensive display of posters announcing upcoming events that may be of interest to our community. We have been on a long journey of learning how to use posters effectively and with some advice from designers and people in-the-know when it comes to advertising. Over time we have made some successful adjustments that have taught us how to create an effective event poster for our nonprofit organization. Now we notice people spend more time viewing our display of posters, whereas before we honed our skills, they tended to move past the display quickly.

Less Is More

Through trial and error we have discovered that the first and most important piece of advice has been ‘less is more,’ a concept that when practiced in poster making seems to increase interest and comprehension. At first we wrestled with our desire to get as much information in front of the reader as possible, until we learned that in general people are overwhelmed by information, they have information fatigue. It seems that if they do not see and ‘get’ what they are interested in by the first glance of the poster, they are likely to move on. We try to let the poster answer the viewer’s question “What will I take away from this event?”

Let The Picture Tell The Story

We learned to ‘let the picture tell the story,’ so that a poster – even from a distance – announces through its photo/graphic “John Doe Is Coming,” or “If You Like Famous Person You’ll Like This Class.” In other words, let the visual be your primary creative concern: what do I want the people to ‘get’ right away when they look at this poster?

Be Selective

Next, we had to be selective and have two or three large print sentences or bullets that clearly state what the interested person will get out of attending the event or class. So dominating each poster is 1) Title of event 2) Graphic elements that tell the story and 3) Short key information that is easy to read. Long descriptions of the content or extensive biographies of the presenter are best presented elsewhere, for example on a website.

More Information Available

On the lower portion of the poster – say the lower quarter – information about date, cost and where more information can be found, is printed in considerably smaller text. This is because these details do not need to compete for attention. If the graphic element, title and key elements have done the job by attracting interested people, these are the people are most likely to step closer to look for the additional details, and you want to be sure they know where to go to get it.…
